Why Family Traditions at the Table Matter More Than Ever

Recently, after attending Come to the Table in Charlotte, an event centered on giving back to one of my favorite local charities, Beds for Kids, I found myself reflecting on the traditions around my own table growing up.

I’d like to share three traditions we now practice in my home to reinforce modern etiquette and the art of conversation around our table with our family and friends.

And here’s is the good news: none of these traditions are complicated or require special tools or perfect homes or elaborate meals or even glue sticks. They simply require intention and good modern etiquette.
